Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location following site procedures.
• Manage front desk activities: greet visitors, verify IDs, issue credentials, maintain visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, receive deliveries, direct communications, report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, coordinated manner with site contacts and responders.
• Maintain logs and complete required reports related to visitor access and front desk operations.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Welcome Desk in Quakertown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required for roles involving security and safety protocols.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential for all positions, as technology is integral to our operations.

• CPR Certification (B205)Candidates must obtain CPR certification. Training will be provided at no cost to the employee.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Previous experience in customer service is highly valued, as it reflects the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.

• Loss Prevention (B210)Experience or knowledge in loss prevention strategies is preferred for roles related to security and inventory management.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by following site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Manage front desk activities, including greeting visitors, verifying identification and access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and direct deliveries and communications, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and complete required reports related to visitor access, incidents, and front desk operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
