Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Diego, CA. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to claim extra shifts to boost earnings.

You’ll perform unarmed site patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents at an automotive rental/service location. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and eligibility for state licensing.

Qualifications

• State/municipal security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements per state/ local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive rental location by following site procedures and safety policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols of parking areas, entrances/exits, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support traffic flow for customers, employees, vendors, and authorized vehicles.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, property damage, lighting concerns, and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 08:00 PM - 04:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at an automotive rental and service location by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, vehicle-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of parking areas, vehicle storage areas, entrances, exits, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support traffic flow for customers, employees, vendors, and authorized vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, property damage, lighting concerns, and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
