Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Gibbstown, NJ to provide dependable, flexible hours at an assigned site. The role includes customer service, access-control, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location, with the possibility to pick up additional shifts through our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program.

Pay rate is $18.63 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and a path to expand to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, gates, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and vehicle entry, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Communicate observed hazards, equipment concerns, and security‑related issues to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with post orders.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Navigator in Gibbstown, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
