Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in McDonough, GA. This flexible, dependable role offers consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Minimum requirements include customer service experience, loss prevention experience preferred, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Pay rate is $16.50 per hour with a night shift schedule on Fridays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, communicating with site management and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas, stockrooms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in accordance with site requirements.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Loss Prevention Patrol in McDonough, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to retail clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, exterior entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and completely in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
