Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Gahanna, OH. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings while supporting security at assigned sites.

You will be part of a team providing customer service, monitoring access, and maintaining front-desk operations. This part-time position can lead to greater hours and a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening as per policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver in Gahanna, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.37 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility operations personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests in accordance with location requirements.
• Monitor access to the facility, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with relevant contacts.
• Support security-related administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving deliveries, documenting activities, and maintaining a professional front-desk presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
