Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Santa Fe Springs, CA. This role provides customer service, enforces access control, and responds to incidents at a logistics site, with flexible fixed shifts and optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The position offers a pathway to full-time opportunities, with benefits and ongoing training through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• 2+ years security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required where lawful.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by following access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and logs, and direct individuals to designated areas.
• Deter unauthorized access by observing inbound/outbound traffic and reporting suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify according to procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; vary by location.

Located in Santa Fe Springs, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct individuals to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing inbound and outbound traffic, reporting suspicious activity, and escalating access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
