Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in San Francisco, CA. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up more shifts via a scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $40.95 per hour. Work days include Monday to Friday with weekend shifts; shifts include Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Overnight.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Guard card or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client-directed post orders.

Job Schedule

Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts")

You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
