Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control and document incidents.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications; collaborate with site personnel and responders.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator in San Francisco, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed04:30 PM - 12:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and documenting notable incidents or observations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications, and collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
