Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Driver Patrol in Carleton, MI. This role involves unarmed patrols, controlling access, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications site.

You will drive on-site and help deter incidents while using communication tools to report observations and incidents to leadership. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license and HS diploma, plus preferred CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications site by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, reporting hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing guests to contacts or locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Prepare reports and logs, and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Guard Driver Patrol in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate contacts or locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and promptly notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
