Qualifications

Holds a High School Diploma

Previous Law Enforcement Experience Preferred

Provide a valid New Jersey SORA Card for the duration of employment, or willing to secure certification

Have excellent integrity, demonstrate good moral character and initiative

Possess a collaborative personality that exhibits interpersonal communication skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.

Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

Possess Basic Computer Skills

This position is part of the DEA Collective Bargaining Unit.

Job Goal

The security officer is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and

welfare of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors located within the assigned school.

The security officer is responsible for the security of the school building assigned. The security officer assists the administrative staff with enforcing policies and procedures for a safe, secure and orderly school.
