Allied Universal in Nashville, NC (note: actual location Nashville, NC) is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver to protect government facilities and staff. The role involves driving armed patrols, monitoring access, and responding to incidents in a fast-paced security environment.

You will carry out routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized entry.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Maintain awareness of assigned areas and equipment, communicate professionally with facility personnel and law enforcement as needed, and prepare accurate activity and incident reports.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Mon 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
