Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency partners while carrying out security-related procedures and policies at government locations.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization, reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events following site procedures and laws.
• Maintain required reports and logs and carry authorized equipment.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government service locations.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal, client, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
