Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Detail for a part-time role. You will monitor, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns at a government location, providing professional customer service and clear communication while upholding company values.

Minimum requirements include at least 1 year of armed security, a valid armed guard card or license, 21+ years old, a high school diploma, and ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to policy.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials, manage visitor access, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other security-related documentation.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
