Job summary

Allied Universal in Goldsboro, NC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver to protect government facilities and staff. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and follow post orders while remaining professional.

This full-time role pays $21.50 per hour and requires an armed guard card, 6 months of armed security experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma. Training, background checks, and drug screening are part of employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally and follow post orders.
• Prepare incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation for supervisors and onsite personnel.

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver in Goldsboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. • Wed: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
