As an Security Officer for Safeco Protection, you along with a team of other Security Officers and Security Supervisors, will be responsible for keeping the guests and employees of the hotel safe on a daily basis. With core skills in security and conflict management, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring and swift resolution of any potential issues. Your premium skills in first aid, law enforcement, and surveillance will be crucial in responding to emergencies effectively. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service expectations and standards.

• Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring that all security staff are consistently carrying out the proper security methods and procedures.
• Conduct property sweeps.
• Understand written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threats.
• Responds to all emergency situations immediately. Takes appropriate action to safeguard guests, employees and the hotel.
• Handles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on; customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints as necessary.
• Reviews accident investigations to ensure accurate and complete reporting

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills

• (Active) Guard Card
• CPR Certified
• Be able to pass a background check
• High School graduate required. Associates/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred. Additional training, (e.g. military, law enforcement) and education is highly desirable.
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year security experience
• Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook required, Excel.
• Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment, as well as customer-service oriented atmosphere.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Works well independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service.
• A positive attitude.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel.

Physical Demands

During the majority of the shift, must be able to:

• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• See, hear, speak and read and write legibly.
• Be able to reach with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of times up to 8 hours.
• Duties may involve climbing stair and walking inclines or uneven terrain.
