Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Access Control Coordinator in VALRICO, FL to monitor entry points, assist residents and guests, and uphold safety and security across a residential community.

The position is part-time with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour and a defined day schedule. You will provide excellent customer service, maintain records, and respond to incidents with professionalism and calm problem-solving.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals and vehicles entering the residential community in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and/or delivery records and communicate relevant access information to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, common areas, and the community perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
