Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia seeks a Security Guard to monitor access and maintain safety across the facility. You will enforce procedures, assist visitors, and coordinate with staff during emergencies.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years in security, corrections, or military, with CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications. Valid driver’s license and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.
• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel and manage traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Essential Functions

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.
