Responsibilities

1. Maintain a professional demeanor, assisting customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
2. Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility/building.
3. Monitor the environment to detect suspicious and unsafe activity.
4. Familiarize with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
5. Greet everyone professionally.
6. Answer phones professionally.
7. Permit authorized persons to enter and monitor entrances/exits.
8. Know and enforce facility policies and procedures within the scope of the role.
9. Perform patrols of designated areas on foot or vehicle.
10. Observe and protect against theft, ensuring proper removal of property.
11. Follow emergency procedures.
12. Monitor alarms and security systems.
13. Prepare reports on incidents and suspicious activities.

Minimum Requirements

1. State or municipality security officer license.
2. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3. Security guard license or ability to obtain one.
4. Reliable communication and transportation.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and professional appearance.
6. Ability to write reports and logs.
7. Previous security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.

Additional Details

Compensation is $18.00/hr with benefits including health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K.

Location: South Brunswick, NJ, with shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7am-3pm.
