Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a vigilant security professional to join our team in Urbana, IL. This hourly, first/second/third shift role supports access control, patrols, and incident response to protect people and property.

The ideal candidate will have a HS degree or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a clean record, with willingness to work weekends and holidays. Training is provided; opportunities for full-time stability exist.

Qualifications

• HS degree or GED required.
• Must have 60+ lb lifting capability.
• Must perform walking patrols and be outdoors.
• Valid IN/IL driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Clean criminal record; ability to work weekends/holidays.
• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement or a criminology/criminal justice degree.

Scope of the Position

This is an hourly security position working first shift 6a-2p, second shift 2p-10p and third shift working 10p-6a.

Responsibilities

• Interior/exterior patrols
• Medical escorts/emergencies
• Automobile assists, (jump-starts/unlocks)
• Payroll distribution
• Access control
• Disciplinary/termination support
• Investigations & report writing
• Monitor & record CCTV system
• Monitor time clock activities
• Inclement weather assistance
• Loss prevention
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have HS degree or GED.
• Must be able to lift 60+ pounds.
• Must be able to remain in elements for extended periods of time.
• Must perform walking patrols.
• Must have valid Indiana/Illinois Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Must have clean criminal record.
• Must work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Must have security, military, or law enforcement experience and/or a college degree in criminology/criminal justice.
