Job summary

Adams County Regional Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance/Security team member responsible for maintaining the physical plant and ensuring safety for staff and patients. Duties include snow removal, facility upkeep, and assisting in ED cleanliness as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shovels snow from walks and driveways; spreads salt on public passage ways.
• Operates snow removal equipment to maintain streets, sidewalks and driveways.
• Clears clogged drains including toilets.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Assist in cleanliness of the Emergency Department by performing the duties personally or calling housekeeping if anything more than sweeping or removing trash.
• Alerts staff and police if someone shows signs of losing control.
• Helps to remove patient/visitor when needed.
• Able to use physical restraints; use is only as a last resort.
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and/or Experience
