• Must be able to work the schedule and weekends / assigned times and required overtime.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (hot, cold, rain).
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly.
• Maintain professional, positive attitude and good work ethics.
• Pass Drug and Background Screening Process.

Responsibilities

• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as damage, theft, or unauthorized persons.
• Calls police or fire departments in emergencies.
• Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
• Patrols premises to prevent intrusion and ensure door/window/gate security.
• Answers telephone calls to take messages and provide information during off-hours.
• Warns rule violators and may apprehend or evict them from premises.
• Maintains order by circulating among visitors and employees.

The Security Guard position will perform the following duties:

• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Circulates among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Answers telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
• Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience in law enforcement or security preferred but not required.
