Job Title: Security Guard

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety of customers and coworkers in the retail dispensary setting. Key duties include patrolling the premises, communicating with visitors, and acting as a physical deterrent to intruders.

The primary goal is to reduce theft or diversion risks within the cannabis business. Security guards also verify identification of customers, visitors, patients, and caregivers, and control access to the retail area.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Ensure a safe environment for clients and customers in the cannabis industry.
• Remain calm under pressure, demonstrating patience and attention to detail.

• Protect transport vehicles during product delivery.
• Monitor surveillance systems.
• Manage entry screening and visitor logs, providing escorts as needed.
• Maintain a clean security work area.
• Report irregular activities to management or authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of law enforcement or security experience.
• At least 21 years old with the ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds and work above shoulder level.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Compensation & Benefits

• $20.00/hour base pay.
