Job summary

RiverWoods Durham is seeking a Security Staff member for an 8-hour-per-week role, with potential to take additional shifts. Ideal candidate can cover overnight Friday into Saturday (midnight to 8am) and assist in safeguarding residents and facilities in a vibrant community.

Requirements include a High School diploma, CPR certification (or ability to obtain), and at least 1 year of security or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facility buildings and grounds to deter fires, theft, vandalism, or intruders; question unauthorized persons and report hazards.
• Monitor lighting, assist with floor care, and remove trash as needed.
• Maintain accurate work order logs and documentation.
• Assist the Director of Facilities with special projects, maintenance duties, or other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with snow removal to ensure community safety in winter.
• Support Community Life or Campus Services on resident needs and events.

Overview

RiverWoods Durham is currently seeking a Security Staff person to join our team and help provide excellent and quality customer service in support of our residents and community. This is a 8 hour a week position with the potential to pick up additional shifts as they are available- the ideal candidate would be able to work overnight Friday into Saturday (midnight to 8am)

Responsibilities

• Tour facility buildings and premises to prevent fires, theft, vandalism, and intruders; confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed; report safety and/or fire hazards or security activities.


• Monitor status of lightbulbs, assist with floor care, remove trash/recycling from the building


• Maintains accurate work order logs and other required documentation


• Provides direct assistance to the Director of Facilities for special projects, annual preventative maintenance duties, or other tasks as assigned


• Assist with snow removal in the winter months to ensure safety for the community


• Assist Community Life or Campus Services team with other projects, room set-up, resident needs, or other requests

Qualifications

• High School diploma required


• Minimum 1-year experience preferred


• CPR certification, or the ability to obtain one, required
