Job summary

Altera is seeking a Silicon Domain Architect to define and develop next‑generation FPGA silicon architecture, focusing on security technologies, Root of Trust, and FPGA configuration capabilities.

You will translate system requirements into architectural specifications and collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, validation, and product teams to deliver scalable silicon solutions across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (EE/CE/CS)
• 5+ years in semiconductor architecture, silicon design, SoC architecture, or FPGA architecture
• Experience defining hardware architectures, microarchitectures, or subsystems
• Hardware security technologies including RoT, secure boot, cryptographic foundations
• translating system requirements into hardware architecture specs and design docs
• Collaboration with hardware, firmware, software, validation, and product teams

Responsibilities

• Develops and contributes to end‑to‑end architecture definitions for silicon domain subsystems, including RoT and FPGA configuration features.
• Defines roadmaps for silicon domain subsystems based on product requirements and interoperability needs.
• Evaluates security architectures and silicon capabilities; translates security requirements into architectural solutions.
• Specifies microarchitectural features and interfaces for high performance, secure, low‑power FPGA products.
• Documents architectural requirements, interfaces, and design considerations for complex silicon subsystems.
• Develops test plans, validation strategies, and testing infrastructure for new architectures.
• Performs modeling, simulations, and architectural analysis to benchmark performance and identify optimizations.
• Collaborates across hardware, firmware, software, validation, and product teams.
