Job summary

Colorado Convention Center is seeking a Security Floor Agent in the Operations department. This full-time role supports employees and patrons, conducts patrols, and reports safety incidents to protect people and property.

The position offers hourly pay with a sign-on bonus, shift from 6:30am–3:00pm, and a path to higher pay after 90 days. Benefits include insurance, retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years security experience in a large facility preferred.
• Must hold a Colorado Security Guard License and a valid Colorado driver license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest services for employees, clients, and patrons.
• Carry out emergency, safety, and security programs as needed.
• Perform foot and vehicle patrols on property.
• Inspect facilities for safety and security compliance.
• Investigate incidents and report injuries or damage.
• Operate within POD compliance and follow events schedule.

Compensation:

$22.50 at time of hire with increase to $23.00 after 90 days of service.

Shift:

1st shift: 630am-3pm

General Summary:

This position provides security protection to employees, staff, and property through patrol, observation, and reporting procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a guest services level of care for employees, clients, and patrons
• Carry out emergency, safety, and security programs and procedures when necessary
• Perform foot and vehicle patrols of property.
• Inspect and report on facilities compliance with safety and security procedures
• Investigate and report on incidents including damage/injury to the facility or employees
• Assure POD compliance on patrols
• Self-motivated, with the ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED, preferred
• One to three years security experience in a large facility preferred

Computer Skills:

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• City and County of Denver Security Guard License required
• Valid and current Class C Colorado Driver License preferred

Irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required; determined by event schedule and/or department need. Requires radio usage of a two-way hand-held radio.
