Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Patrol Coverage Specialist in Washington, DC. You will perform patrols across client sites, monitor access points, and respond to incidents. This role offers varied shifts and opportunities for advancement within a leading security company.

The position requires 1+ year security experience, ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends, and a valid driver’s license where applicable. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to work varying shifts including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts.
• Flexibility for last-minute shift scheduling and travel as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or vehicle as assigned.
• Identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Respond to alarms and contact police or fire department when needed.
• Enforce site rules and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate incidents and maintain incident logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Provide emergency notifications as per site orders.
