Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC, is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Flex Unarmed) to patrol sites, respond to incidents, and assist clients. You will work 30–40 hours weekly with variable shifts, gain diverse site exposure, and have opportunities for advancement within a leader in security services.

Qualifications include high school diploma, ability to pass background checks and drug screens, and availability for last-minute scheduling. Driving license required only for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property and ensure proper removal per client rules.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
