Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Flex - Unarmed in Murrells Inlet, SC. Work 30–40 hours weekly with shifts that change, including last‑minute scheduling to meet client needs.

You will patrol sites, respond to incidents, file reports, and assist customers in a fast‑paced, supportive environment. Growth and ongoing training are emphasized within a team‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property per client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
