Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in Sacramento, CA. The role uses our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts, supporting healthcare, education, and finance sectors. Flexible schedules lead to growth opportunities and a benefits package.

You will patrol, assess risks, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional customer service and safety across sites. Requires a CA driver's license and a high school diploma or 5 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required in accordance with applicable laws; may consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; effective problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or summon police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
