Job summary

Allied Universal in Dallas, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination to deliver reliable, consistent hours at a designated site. This role features fixed anchor shifts and the option to claim additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across sites.

Pay rate is $18.03 per hour with a Saturday night schedule, plus benefits and training as part of our security team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel per site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
