Job summary

Qualia seeks an Engineering Manager, Information Security to lead a hands-on team that owns detection, response, and security posture across our real estate platform. You’ll guide incident response, triage customer concerns, and foster automation with AI-driven workflows.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and IT to ensure practical risk reduction and audit readiness. You’ll mentor engineers, define priorities, and scale security through automation while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional information security experience with defensive and offensive familiarity.
• Hands-on depth in security operations: detection, monitoring, incident response.
• Ability to write code and ship automation, with AI/LLM in security workflows.
• Risk-based approach and clear written communication for runbooks, post-mortems, and exec summaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Information Security team, coaching engineers and delivering on the security roadmap.
• Own detection and response end-to-end across products, customers, employees, and assets.
• Serve as incident commander for security incidents and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Manage customer-reported security concerns and coordinate triage to resolution.
• Scale the team through automation and AI-enabled triage and response workflows.
• Strengthen cloud and corporate security posture across identity, endpoints, and SaaS.
• Partner with Application Security, IT, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to embed security.
• Support compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001) with practical risk reduction.
• Hire and mentor security engineers and cultivate a strong team culture.
