Job summary

Quanata, LLC, a remote‑first insurance tech company, seeks a Staff Security Engineer to secure AI‑enabled systems, apps, and platforms. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and security teams to make security an integral part of AI solutions—from LLM apps to CI/CD pipelines—while guiding strategy and standards across the organization.

You will lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments, and translate security requirements into practical engineering controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in full‑stack security, product security, application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience with AI, ML, LLM, GenAI, or AI‑enabled environments; hands‑on security work with AI systems.
• Proven experience conducting security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for modern apps, APIs, platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience evaluating and securing third‑party SaaS platforms, AI tools, model providers, developer tools, APIs, and vendor‑managed services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence decisions and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into AI-enabled products and platforms.
• Lead threat modeling, security reviews, and risk assessments across AI pipelines and third‑party tools.
• Define secure AI engineering patterns, guardrails and reference architectures across IAM, data protection, and logging.
• Strengthen AWS-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and software supply chain controls.
• Drive security-by-design initiatives and translate objectives into technical requirements across the org.
