Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Manager, Security Engineering to lead a combined Application and Platform Security team within the Cybersecurity Department. You will own security strategy, maturity, and KPIs while partnering with Engineering and Product to shift security left and advance the company’s security posture.

You’ll translate technical risk into business outcomes for executives and engineers, mentoring a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience required.
• 7+ years of information/security experience with hands-on depth in application/platform security.
• 2+ years of security engineering leadership and roadmap ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a combined Application Security and Platform Security team.
• Define and report KPIs showing measurable security posture improvements to leadership.
• Align security controls across apps and platforms with unified standards and tooling.
• Drive shift-left security in SDLC with threat modeling and secure reviews.
• Mature posture management across cloud/infrastructure, including CSPM and IaC scanning.
• Oversee vulnerability management, triage workflows, and remediation coordination.
• Represent Security Engineering to Engineering, Product, Compliance, and executives.
