Job summary

LiveKit is seeking a Security Engineer to own and operate our vulnerability management program, building tooling and workflows that scale with our platform. You will partner with engineering teams to triage, remediate and automate security signals across production assets.

You will shape our security operations, implement end-to-end processes, and contribute to compliance evidence while working with a small Trust team in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, security operations or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building or running a vulnerability management program or security tooling.
• Engineering-first approach to triage and remediation to ship fixes.
• Ability to set real severity using CVSS as input.
• Strong scripting and automation in Go or Python; reading IaC like Terraform.
• Pragmatic approach to risk and explaining findings to the business.

Responsibilities

• Select, deploy and operationalize scanning tools across production assets.
• Run vulnerability management end-to-end: triage, severity, ownership, SLAs, reporting.
• Build engineering-first triage and remediation workflows; automate routing and follow-up.
• Create a remediation dashboard for engineering and leadership.
• Automate collection of vulnerability evidence for compliance programs.
• Develop automation including agentic tooling to scale security operations.
