Job summary

Meta's Security Engineering team is seeking a security engineer to help protect billions of users across Meta's products and services. You will identify vulnerabilities, drive mitigations, and build scalable security solutions across infrastructure and product ecosystems.

You will partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into the development lifecycle, turning findings into systemic improvements and reducing risk at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience including vulnerability research and assessments.
• Experience identifying and exploiting common vulnerability classes across web, mobile, or infrastructure.
• Experience developing security tooling or automation in programming or scripting languages.
• Experience conducting threat modeling and security design reviews for large-scale systems.
• Experience driving mitigations across cross-functional teams with risk communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability research across Meta's products, services, and infrastructure.
• Identify security gaps in system designs and drive cross-functional mitigations to resolution.
• Develop and improve security tooling, automation, and frameworks — including static and dynamic analysis.
• Translate complex security findings into actionable guidance for engineering and product partners.
• Lead large-complexity security projects from discovery through remediation.
• mentor other engineers on secure coding practices, vulnerability classes, and review methodologies.
