Job summary

Cape Analytics in New York seeks an experienced Security Engineer to strengthen corporate security across identity, endpoint, network and information security. You will design and implement security controls, manage IAM/SSO/MFA, and drive risk reduction across employee and vendor ecosystems.

You will lead vulnerability management, security awareness programs, and compliance support while collaborating with IT, engineering, HR, and business teams to build a security-first culture and protect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security across identity, endpoint, network, and governance, risk & compliance.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise identity providers and SSO/MFA platforms; experience with EDR and MDM tooling.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
• Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, Security+) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls and policies across corporate IT systems.
• Own IAM/SSO/MFA, endpoint security, and email/network security across the organization.
• Perform security assessments of systems and vendors to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Establish governance, guardrails, and monitoring for employee tooling and third-party risks.
• Own the vulnerability management lifecycle, including scanning, prioritization, remediation, and tracking.
• Lead security awareness and phishing simulation programs to foster a security culture.
• Support compliance and audit efforts with security context across projects.
• Assess third-party risk and respond to findings from tests and audits.
• Mentor engineers on secure practices and collaborate with IT on security design reviews.
• Stay informed on threats and regulatory changes; provide strategic security guidance.
