Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a security-focused Microsoft engineer to deliver hands-on engagements around Entra ID, Purview, Intune, and Defender XDR. You will design identity architecture, implement access controls, and support data protection initiatives across diverse clients.

Expect 80% billable work, collaboration with architects, and opportunities for internal knowledge sharing. Remote US-based position with occasional travel for events or federal programs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory, including Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and hybrid identity (Entra Connect).
• Experience implementing Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, or eDiscovery) and supporting Intune and Defender XDR.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity architecture including hybrid sync and access controls.
• Integrate applications via SSO (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning.
• Investigate identity risks using Entra ID protections and audit logs; drive identity hygiene.
• Design and implement Purview data security policies including DLP and retention.
• Support eDiscovery, Insider Risk, and AI data security readiness as needed.
• Configure Intune and Defender XDR deployments across platforms.
