Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. seeks a Security Engineer Intern for a 10-week program in Richmond, VA. You’ll work on vulnerability management, endpoint security, and security operations alongside a dedicated mentor, with in-person Mon-Thu and an option to work from home on Fridays.

You’ll develop prototypes, analyze security findings, and gain exposure to automation, cloud concepts, and AI security in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Plan to return to school after Summer 2027 internship and graduate between Dec 2027–Jun 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through projects or personal endeavors.
• Available for the full 10-week program and 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working prototype to solve a cybersecurity challenge.
• Assist in cybersecurity operations such as responding to alerts and analyzing findings.
• Support in security projects while learning from experienced team members.
• Collaborate with mentors to build foundational Cybersecurity practices.
