Job summary

Peloton Interactive is seeking a Security Engineer to help evolve our security operations at the New York headquarters. You will research threats, build detections, and automate SOC workflows to scale security across the business.

The role emphasizes incident response, cloud platforms, IAM, and SIEM/EDR tooling, with AI-assisted development and playbook maintenance as core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Information Security.
• Experience in incident response or threat detection; cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, SaaS (O365, Google Workspace) or IAM.
• Strong knowledge of Incident Response principles and processes.
• Experience with automation for Alert Intake/Triage/Incident Handling.
• Expert experience with SIEM tools or data lakes.
• Experience with dissecting attacker methodologies and/or EDR tooling.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools for development of security solutions.
• Learning mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Certifications: GCIH, GCFE, GCIA, GCFA, AWS Security Specialty.

Responsibilities

• Directly support Peloton’s Security Program with threat hunting research and strategic analysis.
• Stay updated on vulnerabilities, threat actors, IOCs, TTPs, and trends.
• Provide intel-driven insights to detect anomalous or malicious activity.
• Baseline user behaviors with Security Engineering and SOC; build detections and response workflows.
• Triage for incident response and investigations across internal teams.
• Develop countermeasures based on threat analysis and forecasting.
• Create and maintain security incident playbooks/runbooks.
• Present findings and recommendations to managers and leadership.
• Identify repetitive SOC workflows and automate with AI-powered triage and end-to-end automation.
• Design and ship homegrown security tooling across full lifecycle.
