Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain security across Linux and macOS environments, Kubernetes clusters, and containerized apps. You will own the security posture of Unix-based endpoints and cloud infrastructure, coordinating with cross-functional teams to safeguard data and systems.

The role emphasizes policy development, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in information security engineering, with a focus on Linux and macOS security.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix/macOS security configurations and hardening.
• Experience with Kubernetes security and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security for Linux and macOS endpoints and servers.
• Harden configurations and manage vulnerabilities across the fleet.
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Monitor security tooling and respond to incidents.
• Contribute to documentation and audits.
