Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain robust security across Linux and macOS environments. You will own the security posture of our Unix-based endpoints and servers, extend secure practices to cloud and containerized environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard data and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in information security engineering focusing on Linux and macOS.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix/macOS security configurations and hardening.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures for Linux and macOS fleets.
• Harden configurations, manage vulnerabilities, and monitor security posture.
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications; manage images and registries.
• Develop incident response plans and coordinate with stakeholders during incidents.
