Firefly Aerospace in Texas is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain security across Linux and macOS endpoints and servers. You will own the security posture, apply hardening, perform vulnerability management, and respond to threats while extending secure practices into cloud and container environments.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and NIST, while supporting audits, incident response plans, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Info Security or related field.
• 2+ years in information security engineering focusing on Linux/macOS.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix/macOS security configurations and hardening.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration security.
• Experience with cloud platforms and security services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies for Linux/macOS systems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management.
• Monitor security tooling and respond to incidents.
• Manage endpoint protection and configuration baselines.
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct drills.
• Document security policies and support audits.
