Job summary

VEIC is seeking a Generalist security operations and engineering professional to monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents. You will engineer and maintain security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and email security, and partner with teams to secure technologies and systems.

The role emphasizes moderate autonomy and collaboration across teams, with occasional in-person company events 0–2 times per year, and flexible work arrangements to support a healthy planet

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security operations or engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 security products, Windows/Linux, and scripting.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Primarily desk-based with extensive collaboration and communication.
• Occasional in-person attendance at company events (0-2 times/year), optional or virtual.

Responsibilities

• Independently monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Engineer and maintain security technologies including SIEM, endpoint, and email security.
