Job summary

VEIC is seeking a dedicated Information Security Engineer II to join our security team. This role focuses on blue team security operations and security engineering, monitoring, triaging, investigating, and responding to incidents, while engineering and maintaining VEIC's information security technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security operations or security engineering experience.
• Proficiency securing and administering Microsoft 365 security products (Defender for Endpoint, Purview, Entra ID, Intune).
• Ability to work independently on security projects from design to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead security monitoring, triage, and incident response across the security stack.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery for security incidents.
• Engineer, implement, and maintain information security technologies (SIEM content, detection rules, data onboarding).
• Own security projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Advise business units on cyber risk and security best practices.
• Develop security automation capabilities and provide staff training.
