Endeavor Health is seeking an IT Security Engineer II to strengthen and evolve the organization's cybersecurity posture across systems, data, and applications. You will design security controls, lead incident response, mentor staff, and collaborate with IT and business partners to enforce HIPAA, PCI, and related standards in a hybrid, full-time role in Illinois.

This role requires strong leadership, project management, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent with security certifications.
• One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of mid-level cybersecurity experience.
• Experience leading and administering at least one security application.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and PCI standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Lead security incident response and investigations.
• Architect, design and implement security technologies and processes.
• Manage, monitor, and support security applications.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Participate in audits and compliance activities.
• Engage in on-call rotation for incident handling.
• Mentor junior staff and cross-train team members.
