Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an IT Security Engineer II to strengthen and oversee the organization’s cybersecurity posture across systems and data. You will develop, communicate, and enforce security policies, manage risk, and lead incident investigations with a focus on HIPAA and PCI compliance.

The role is hybrid in Illinois (Skokie area) with 8-to-5 hours and cross-functional collaboration. You will mentor staff and drive security projects from conception to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• One advanced, professional, or expert-level security certification preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of mid-level cybersecurity experience.
• Experience leading, supporting, managing, and administering at least one security application.
• Experience leading security projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security incident reviews and investigations.
• Architect, design and implement security technologies and processes as directed.
• Manage and monitor 2–3 security applications; troubleshoot cybersecurity issues.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards and SOPs; socialize with IT and business partners.
• Participate in risk assessments, audits and HIPAA/PCI compliance activities.
• Support on-call rotations and respond to incidents.
