Job summary

Currency Exchange International (CXI) is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to own preventative security controls and drive hygiene initiatives in a hybrid Orlando, Florida environment.

The role requires strong security fundamentals, experience with enterprise AI ecosystems, and collaboration with IT operations, engineering, and security partners to reduce risk and ensure audit‑readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent practical experience.
• Security certifications or progress toward certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in information security or security engineering role.
• Experience implementing preventative security controls and secure configurations.
• Experience coordinating third‑party pentests and translating findings.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute preventative security controls and hygiene initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of core security capabilities and preventative controls.
• Drive security hygiene work with task management and clear communication.
• Produce audit‑ready documentation, runbooks, and control narratives.
• Partner with IT operations and engineering to plan and validate implementations.
• Support application security testing with external partners and internal teams.
• Coordinate vulnerability management, remediation, and process improvements.
• Stay current on threats and translate changes into actionable improvements.
• Articulate security practices to auditors, regulators, and customers.
