Job summary

Kodex is hiring a Security Engineer to own the security program end-to-end as we scale. This hands-on, zero-to-one operator role sits on a small team and involves writing playbooks, driving incident response, and owning tooling to protect our customers and our platform.

This US-based remote role offers autonomy and a central place in CorpSec, SecOps, and compliance as Kodex grows its security program across CloudSec and AppSec.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of security engineering experience.
• Hands-on operator with ability to build programs from scratch.
• Mac-first environment experience and tooling ownership.
• Depth in CorpSec and SecOps processes.
• Experience with SOC 2 audits and compliance programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• CorpSec & SecOps: detect, respond, and prevent in a Mac-first environment.
• Compliance & Audit: drive SOC 2 / Vanta program and audit cycles.
• Identity & Access: own Okta, Google Workspace, and access guardrails.
• Detection & Observability: use Datadog & SentinelOne to close visibility gaps.
• Vendor & Third-Party Risk: manage security reviews for vendors and integrations.
• Security Culture: create clear playbooks and train the team.
