Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Security Engineer to protect the CMS HIOS platform in a complex federal production environment. You will design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud infrastructure and data to mitigate risks.

You will work with an Agile cross-functional team, automate security workflows with scripts, perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of security experience across compliance, identity, networking, data, and cloud security.
• Experience researching security issues and assessing risk using monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Research security issues and assist in creating new security technology solutions.
• Design and develop scripts to automate security workflow lifecycle.
• Evaluate risk using monitoring systems and tools (Splunk, New Relic, firewall, SIEM, vulnerability scans).
• Develop and implement security procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Execute large client data classification and security assessments.
• Manage remediation plans to support risk assessment goals.
• Conduct threat modeling to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Follow CMS security and SDLC requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members.
