Job summary

Stripe seeks a student intern to join the Security organization, learning secure-by-default design and collaborating with product and infrastructure teams. You will gain exposure to threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and offensive security concepts while helping scale internal security tooling.

You will contribute to threat modeling discussions and learn how to balance security with product goals and user experience, while developing hands-on skills in security best

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or related field (graduating by Summer 2026).
• Some experience and familiarity with programming across Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Scala, and Go.
• Experience from internships or multi-person coding projects and ability to learn unfamiliar systems.
• Aptitude to think like an attacker and reason through security risk reduction.

Responsibilities

• Work on cross-functional projects, directly collaborating with other engineers.
• Give meaningful feedback on code reviews and technical designs.
• Contribute to overall security posture by improving processes, tooling, and defenses.
• Develop a deep understanding of Stripe’s security primitives, frameworks, and invariants.
• Provide actionable insights to identify, prevent, detect, and respond to anomalous activity.
